PRACTICAL WANDERLUST
The food scene in my hometown of Louisville, Kentucky is constantly changing and evolving. I try to keep up, but there are just so many incredible places to eat in Louisville.
We have you covered on all 5 major meals: brunch, lunch, dinner, dessert, and coffee. Be sure to head to our main blog to get the entire list!
GRALEHAUS
In addition to delicious brunch food, they serve just about every type of beverage you could want. Kombucha, cold brew, beer, mimosas, etc. are all able to order.
BISCUIT BELLY
At Biscuit Belly in NuLu, you’ll stand in line and order at a quick-service counter – which is helpful because their dining room is PACKED on weekends. Don’t let that throw you like it threw us on our first visit!
THE MORNING FORK
Their French Toast is no regular french toast, no no no. It is made with brioche, and topped with lemon ricotta, Strawberries & Blueberries, because you fancy.
ROYAL’S HOT CHICKEN
Feeling some Fried Chicken for lunch? Louisville’s fried chicken scene (and no, I’m not talking about KFC) is front and center at Royal’s Hot Chicken in the heart of NuLu.
TACO LUCHADOR
We highly recommend the mole braised chicken tacos, whose sauce is a touch spicier than mole usually is but every bit as aromatic and rich, and the perfectly crispy carnitas tacos!
Louisville Cream
Eating my feelings at Louisville Cream! Strawberry mascarpone ice cream with toasted marshmallow topping and cinnamon-sugar brioche bites.
