Winter Europe Itineraries (for Two Weeks)

PRACTICAL WANDERLUST

Our favorite time of the year to travel in Europe is during the winter. As the weather gets colder, the Christmas markets come to life, snow begins to fall, and it’s the perfect time to throw on cozy sweaters.

With just two weeks of travel time, you can fully experience and immerse yourself in some of the best winter destinations in Europe.

COPENHAGEN, DENMARK

Copenhagen, Denmark just might have been the city that caused us to fall in love with Europe in the winter. It’s the perfect place to start your Europe winter adventure!

BREMEN, GERMANY

The world “fairytale” gets tossed around a lot, but Bremen is literally a fairytale town: its claim to fame is being the star of a Brothers Grimm fairytale.

AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS

If you need a short break from cold weather, Amsterdam in the winter is pleasantly mild. It’s not quite as Christmassy as the rest of the cities we’ve included in our winter itinerary, but hello – it’s Amsterdam!

BRUGES, BELGIUM

We may have based our stop in Bruges, Belgium on a movie that Jeremy liked, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t an awesome place to spend Christmas. Bruges is every bit as romantic and magical as In Bruges makes it seem.

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM

Home to a gorgeous central plaza, incredible food options, a famous statue of a boy peeing (yes, they think it’s weird too), and a bunch of incredibly strange museums, Brussels has no shortage of things to do.
